Harlen Henegar has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles within education and workforce development. Currently serving as the Director of Field Operations at the Louisiana Workforce Commission since 2011, Harlen has extensive experience in coordinating statewide workforce programs and providing technical assistance to Workforce Development Board Directors. Previous roles include serving as an Aerospace Science Instructor for both Jefferson Parish School Board and St. Tammany Parish School Board. Earlier career experiences encompass managing clinical and research operations at Louisiana State University and serving in the United States Air Force for over two decades, culminating in the position of Director of Current Operations for the 1st Combat Evaluation Group. Harlen holds a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Park University.
