Fiona Ball

Fiona is an arts administrator, writer, and curator based in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She is the Manager of Curatorial Projects & Public Experience at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), where she shapes and implements exhibitions, public artworks, and new commissions. She was previously the Managing Editor at Art Practical, the Assistant Director at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, and has held additional roles at arts organizations including &art&, the Hollywood Arts Council, the Skirball Cultural Center, Creative Migration, and RITE Editions. She has curated group and solo exhibitions for YBCA, the Wattis Institute of Contemporary Art; Hubbell Street Galleries, Dogpatch Studios, and Isabel Percy West Gallery at California College of the Arts; Public Pool Gallery; LA Weekly’s Artopia; and more. Recent projects at YBCA include Brett Cook & Liz Lerman: Reflection & Action (opening October 2022), Samora Pinderhughes’s The Healing Project, and Pedagogy of Hope: Uncage, Reunify, Heal with Galeria de la Raza.
