Steve Smoot has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles in the finance and management fields. Steve started their career in Owens Corning, where they held various financial management positions from 1977 to 1985. Steve then moved to Michelin as the Director of Corporate Budgeting from 1985 to 1986. Steve returned to Owens Corning and took on roles such as Controller of International Operations, Director of Electronic Commerce, and Director of Interactive Marketing from 1986 to 1999. Steve then worked at BuildNet as the VP of Marketing from 1999 to 2001. Steve joined Reichhold Chemical as the VP of Finance from 2001 to 2002 and later became the SVP, CFO/CIO from 2002 to 2003. Steve then joined Family Health International as the EVP and CFO from 2005 to 2009. Steve served as the CFO of AGY from 2010 to 2012 and worked at RTI International and Quest Specialty Chemicals as a Financial Consultant and Advisor in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Currently, they serve as the VP of Finance, Americas at Loparex since 2013.

Steve Smoot attended Wake Forest University from 1971 to 1975, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business. Steve furthered their education at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee from 1975 to 1977 and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance.
