Athanasios Georgakas is a Clinical Andrologist at the London Women's Clinic since September 2020, specializing in diagnostic and clinical andrology, including semen sample assessment and preparation for fertility treatments. Previously, Athanasios held an honorary research position as a PhD student at the Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, focusing on sperm DNA fragmentation and early miscarriage. Other roles include Young Researcher Representative for the British Andrology Society, Laboratory Andrology Practitioner at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Lecturer in Animal Care at Capel Manor College. Athanasios has diverse experience ranging from co-owning a bakery to assisting in veterinary practices and conducting research on indigenous breeds of domestic animals. Athanasios holds a Ph.D. in Clinical and Experimental Medicine from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Equine Science from Aberystwyth University, and a degree in Animal Production from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki.
