Kirk Seward began their career in 1996 as a Research Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In 1999, they took on the role of Graduate Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2000, they became the Founder, President and Chief Science and Technology Officer of Mercator MedSystems, Inc.
Kirk Seward obtained their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001. Prior to this, they obtained an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999. Kirk also obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998.
