Riccardo Verzeni

Director of Software Engineering at LINX

Riccardo Verzeni has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Riccardo began their career as an intern at Université de Strasbourg, where they synthesized new organometallic compounds for use in light emitter devices. Riccardo also gained experience in team collaboration and data organization during this internship.

Following that, Riccardo interned at Universidade do Porto, focusing on analyzing the behavior of thio-derivatives in organic photovoltaic cells. Riccardo utilized computational calculations, programming, and problem-solving skills for this project.

Moving on, Riccardo joined Interoute as a Graduate Cloud Automation Engineer, where they researched and implemented various technologies to automate internal and external customer processes. Riccardo also contributed to the development of cloud solutions in an agile team.

Riccardo's next role was at London Internet Exchange (LINX) as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for the analysis, design, development, and support of software application systems. Riccardo later progressed to the position of Software Engineering Manager, leading agile software development teams. Currently, they serve as the Director of Software Engineering at LINX, focusing on digitalization, automation, and AI transformation within the company.

Throughout their experiences, Riccardo has showcased their skills in team management, problem-solving, creative thinking, and results organization.

Riccardo Verzeni's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. Riccardo later pursued higher education at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Master's Degree in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modeling. In 2017, Riccardo enrolled in Stanford University, completing an Artificial Intelligence Graduate Certificate in Computer Science by 2019.
