Piers Allen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in adult social care, health, and medical communications. Currently serving as the Lead Member for Adult Social Care & Health and Chair of the Richmond Health & Wellbeing Board at the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Piers also holds pivotal roles in the South West London Integrated Care System and London Councils as the Liberal Democrat Lead for Health, Wellbeing & Adult Care. With a background in medical publishing and editorial management at various organizations, including Synergia Publishing and the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Piers possesses a strong foundation in bioethics and medical law, holding a Master's degree from St Mary’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Leeds.
