Julia Schmidt currently serves as a Trauma Research Intern at UCHealth, where responsibilities include participation in a COVID-19 surgical study, leading a multi-institutional BCVI screening study, and coordinating an open fracture infection study. Julia has also presented at the WTA 2022. Additionally, Julia works as a Home Health Aide at Colorado Family Caregivers, providing care for siblings with autism and other disabilities. Past experience includes bilingual COVID-19 vaccination support at Salud Family Health Centers, where Julia engaged in community outreach and medical translation, as well as a role as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Donaldson Lab, focusing on neurochemical mechanisms of pair bond formation. Early career experience includes medical internship at Otropedics and Traumatology Uzmani Fulya Istanbul and child care specialist roles at Respite Care, Inc. Julia earned a BA in Neuroscience and a Certificate in Public Health from the University of Colorado Boulder.
