Sharina Bandaranayake began their work experience in 2012 as a Process Engineer at LAKDHANAVI LIMITED. In 2014, they worked as a Student Engineer at Ansell Protective Solutions. Sharina then joined Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC in 2016 as a Management Trainee. At Lion Brewery, they progressed to the role of Assistant Manager Supply Chain from April 2018 to July 2020. Sharina then became a Brand Manager from July 2020 to October 2022. Following that, they were promoted to Senior Brand Manager from April 2022 to October 2022. Sharina is currently working as the Assistant Vice President - Local Power Brands, starting in October 2022.

Sharina Bandaranayake completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering)(Honours) degree from RMIT University, specializing in Chemical Engineering, from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Ladies' College from 1996 to 2011. The degree or field of study during their time at Ladies' College is not provided.
