Luis Serrano has extensive experience in the field of cyber security. Luis currently holds the position of Senior Cyber Security Engineer at LinQuest, where they started in February 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Vibrent Health as a Sr Security Engineer from October 2018 to January 2020. Additionally, Luis has held various roles in other companies such as Perspecta, Ventech Solutions, Parsons Corporation, ettain group, Clarus Group, and Ranstad, gaining valuable expertise in network security, incident response monitoring, and analysis of security events. Overall, Luis Serrano has over 13 years of experience and is knowledgeable in using a wide range of security tools and methodologies within large-scale corporate environments.

Luis Serrano obtained a Master's Degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Studies from the same university, completing their studies between 2002 and 2012. In addition to their degrees, Luis has several certifications in the field of cybersecurity, including (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity and ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) obtained in 2023 and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) obtained in 2021. Luis also holds certifications in various CompTIA cybersecurity specialties, including Security Analytics Expert (CSAE) obtained in 2021, Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) obtained in 2019, and Security+ obtained in 2017. Furthermore, Luis is also a Splunk Certified User, obtaining this certification in 2018.
