Eduardo Pinto has worked in various software engineering roles since 2010. Eduardo began their career at Millennium bcp (Direcção de Títulos) as a Software Engineer in 2010. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Grupo@Work as a Software Engineer, Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto as a Software Engineer, Altran as a Software Engineer, DEGI/FEUP as a Doctoral Researcher, Invited Teaching Assistant, and Intern Researcher, and Blip.pt as a Senior Backend Developer and a Backend Developer. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Lightbend, Inc., where they are a member of the Akka Team, building Kalix.io.

Eduardo Pinto attended the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Master in Engenharia Informática e Computação. Eduardo then continued their studies at the same university from 2012 to 2018, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Programa Doutoral em Engenharia Informática, which they did not complete.
