Matthew Lindon is a seasoned professional in pharmaceutical research and development, currently serving as VP of R&D Strategy & External Innovation at Zealand Pharma since January 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew held various leadership positions at LIDDS, including Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing R&D activities and developing strategies for oncology and immuno-oncology projects. Notable experience also includes serving as Senior Global Project Leader at AstraZeneca, managing drug discovery and clinical development in the Respiratory & Immunology therapy area, and extensive tenure at GSK, where Matthew led early development for novel epigenetic drug candidates and contributed to cross-functional team strategies. Earlier roles with Merck Sharp & Dohme and Rhone-Poulenc Agriculture involved research and development in neuroscience and agricultural chemistry. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Leicester.
