Silay Ugurlu is a backend engineer at Leap. Prior to joining Leap, they were a senior software engineer at Comodo Türkiye from October 2017 to November 2018. Silay also worked as a senior Java developer at ICterra Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri from February 2016 to February 2017 and as a project supervisor at TEB from November 2013 to October 2015. Ugurlu began their career as an IT specialist at Akbank in June 2012 before moving to Sony, where they worked as a senior Java developer from July 2007 to June 2012.

Silay Ugurlu completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Hacettepe University.
