Dominic Deem has extensive experience in software engineering and application development. Dominic started their career as a Distributed Technology Services Student Technician at The University of Akron and later worked as an Applications Engineer Co-op at ABB, focusing on cyber security. Dominic also held roles as a Computer Engineer Co-op at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, where they developed applications using Visual Basic .NET, SQL, and LINQ. Dominic then worked as a Software Engineer at TimkenSteel Corporation, where they analyzed and made software changes to process control systems. Most recently, Dominic has been a Lead Application Developer at Leaf Home, where they oversee application development projects.

Dominic Deem completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Akron in 2018. Prior to that, they graduated from Wellsville High School in 2012. Dominic also obtained a certification from Microsoft in developing an ASP.NET Core web app that consumes an API, although the specific month of obtaining the certification is unknown.
