Stephen Farrington, MS, PE, currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at LandScan, where the focus is on intelligent site characterization and analysis technology for agriculture and forestry. As the Owner and Lead Technologist of Transcend Engineering, Stephen leads a team dedicated to advanced analysis and machine learning for actionable intelligence from sensors. Additionally, as the Owner of Secure Border Technologies, LLC, Stephen develops innovative sensing and artificial intelligence solutions for border security. Previously, Stephen held the position of Principal Engineer at ARA, managing cross-disciplinary R&D and business development in geotechnologies. Stephen also founded Crooked Root Records, an independent record label that achieved notable success in the Americana music charts. Early career experience includes roles at Eurofins TestAmerica, where Stephen conducted hydrographic surveys. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, both in Civil Engineering.
