Audun Torp has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and software development. Audun started their career as a student assistant at NTNU in 2005 and then worked at Simula Research Laboratory as a summer intern in 2007. In 2009, they joined the Norwegian Armed Forces as a Senior Software Engineer, where they focused on Agile C++ development, cryptographic analysis, and algorithm optimization for specialized hardware. In 2015, they transitioned to Telenor Digital as a Software Developer, contributing to the development of a global payment solution and RESTful microservices using Java. In 2018, Audun joined ZEDGE as a Senior Data Scientist, managing responsibilities such as recommendation and search systems, A/B testing, event data consistency, and availability. Audun also worked as a Team Lead and was involved in big data processing using clickhouse, full-stack development of an analytics platform, and Agile coaching as a Scrum Master. Recently, in 2022, they have joined OptoScale as a Machine Learning Developer.
Audun Torp earned a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2004 to 2009. In 2007 to 2008, they participated in a one-year exchange program at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, focusing on Cryptography. Additionally, in 2003 to 2004, they attended Sunnmøre Folkehøgskule for a year, studying Multisport.
