Erika Stergos currently serves as the Preservation Foundation Executive Director at the Lake County Forest Preserve District, focusing on restoration and preservation initiatives for natural lands and cultural assets. Previously, Erika held the position of Chief of Staff at Genesys Works Chicago, managing strategic initiatives and overseeing the External Affairs team, which successfully raised $1 million. Erika's extensive background also includes roles such as Director of External Affairs at Genesys Works Chicago, Assistant Director for Development and Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin, Individual Giving Manager at KIPP Austin Public Schools, Associate Director at the University of Iowa Foundation, Creative Services Manager at RuffaloCODY, and Annual Programs Manager at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Erika holds a Master’s degree in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and History from Southern Methodist University.
