Geneva Bosques has a diverse work experience primarily in the public sector, with a focus on communication and community engagement. Geneva is currently serving as the Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs at the City of Fremont since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Fremont Police Department for 15 years, starting in 2006 as the Public Affairs Manager/PIO. In this role, they managed a team and oversaw community engagement services, social media, and public relations. Before that, Geneva held multiple roles at the City of Fremont Police Department, including Traffic Project Manager and Community Engagement Specialist, where they managed programs and initiatives aimed at improving community engagement and quality of life. Their early career includes internships and assisting with redevelopment projects and housing analysis at the City of Fremont.
Geneva Bosques earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University - East Bay, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Geneva later pursued their further education at Saint Mary's College of California, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from 2009 to 2010.
