Liv Merete Wiker joined KS on 1 May 2017, from her position as communications director in the Ministry of Health and Care. Wiker has also been director of communications in the Ministry of Local and Regional Affairs, the Norwegian Police Directorate and the Oslo police district. She has also worked as a journalist.

Wiker is educated in social studies, and a journalist from the Norwegian Academy of Journalism.
