Katja Malkamäki has extensive work experience in project management and process development. Katja started their career at Konecranes in 2001 as a project engineer and later became a production supervisor. In 2007, they joined Etteplan as a project engineer before returning to Konecranes in 2007 as a manager in product data management. From 2011 to 2015, they served as a global process owner and implementation specialist, responsible for system development and implementation in SAP. Katja then became a project manager for process and system implementation from 2015 to 2018, and later a senior project manager for global parts supply until 2019. Currently, Katja is the director of product data and process development at Konecranes, where they are responsible for spare part product data management and development.

Katja Malkamäki attended HAMK Häme University of Applied Sciences from 1998 to 2001, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. In the same year, they also studied Product Design at Swansea Institute of Higher Education, earning a Higher National Diploma (HND). Later, they obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from Nordic Process Improvement in 2019 and PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from Tieturi in 2016.
