Ella D. is a dedicated educator currently serving as a Science Teacher for 6th graders at Kodiak Island Borough School District since August 2022, specializing in topics such as space, geology, water, and climate while also teaching essential life skills. Prior experience includes the role of Leadership Assistant Director at Camp Manito-wish YMCA, where facilitation of individual and community growth was emphasized. Ella has held various positions in environmental education, including Naturalist at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center and Field Technician for the Limnology Lab at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Previous roles also include Coastal Education Intern at Bald Head Island Conservancy and teaching assistant at St. Olaf College, complementing a strong background in leadership and education cultivated through a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, and Education from St. Olaf College.
