Umarah Ali currently serves as Senior Counsel, Transactions & Investments at Koch Industries, a position held since May 2021. Prior to this role, Umarah Ali was an Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions at JONES DAY® from October 2017 to May 2021, following a Summer Associate position at the same firm in 2016. Legal experience also includes a stint as a Legal Intern at The Home Depot in 2015 and a role as Press Advance Associate during the Obama Administration at The White House from May 2013 to August 2014. Umarah Ali’s leadership experience includes serving as Director at Homepark Housing from 2009 to 2013. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, acquired in 2017, a Dual Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism and Arabic from the University of Georgia, and a brief program at Harvard Business School Online in 2021. Additional Arabic language training was completed at the Qasid Arabic Institute in 2012.
