Sarah Jenkins has a diverse range of work experience in the education and policy sector. Sarah began their career as a Classroom Teacher at Denver Public Schools, where they achieved significant academic gains for their students. Sarah then transitioned to policy work, starting as a LEE Policy Fellow at the Colorado Children's Campaign. Sarah later became a Fellow at The Donnell-Kay Foundation, where they conducted research and managed public input for the K-12 Online Education Task Force. At KnowledgeWorks, Sarah held multiple roles, including Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Implementation, Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy Operations, Director of Policy Research and Strategic Initiatives, Senior Manager of Research and Advocacy, and Policy and Research Analyst. In these roles, they led various projects, conducted research, wrote reports, and provided strategic direction in the field of education policy. Sarah also briefly worked as a Web Developer at The Collab Lab. Sarah Jenkins completed their education in chronological order starting with a degree in French Language and Literature from Institut d’Études Françaises pour Étudiants Étrangers in 2009. Sarah then obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in French, Arabic, Armenian, Persian, Turkish, and Islamic Studies from the University of Michigan in 2010. Sarah went on to pursue a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado Denver, completing it in 2022. Finally, in 2022-2023, they attended CareerFoundry to study Full Stack Web Development.
