John Low-Beer is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Of Counsel at Kirby McInerney LLP since January 2016 and working as a self-employed attorney since 2013. Prior to this, John Low-Beer held the position of Senior Counsel in the Affirmative Litigation Division at the New York City Law Department from 2003 to 2013, handling significant cases involving the City of New York as a plaintiff. Additional roles include attorney positions at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein and the New York City Law Department, as well as earlier positions as Menapace Fellow at the Municipal Art Society and law clerk to Judge Leonard Garth at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. John Low-Beer has also contributed to academia as an Associate Professor at York College, CUNY, and lecturer/assistant professor at Yale University, where a notable publication, PROTEST AND PARTICIPATION, was released in 1978. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Harvard University, in addition to a Bachelor's degree from Brown University.
