Mark Dhooge

President And CEO at Kids In Distress (KID)

Mark Dhooge has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Deputy Sheriff at the Marquette County Sheriff's Department from 1989 to 1992. Mark then worked as a Counselor at Teaching-Family Homes of Upper Michigan from 1992 to 1994. Following that, they became the President and CEO of Kids In Distress Inc., a non-profit organization providing various child and family services, from 1994 onwards. In 2009, Mark co-founded Genesis Photography, a wedding and creative headshot photography business, where they worked until 2016. Most recently, in 2019, they became the President and CEO of Family Central Inc., focusing on family strengthening, early learning, and training in South Florida.

Mark Dhooge completed their high school education at White Pine High School, where they earned their diploma from 1983 to 1986. Following this, they attended Northern Michigan University from 1986 to 1990, where they pursued majors in Criminal Justice, Conservation, and Biology, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree.
