Mike Giacomini serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Kern Community College District since March 2022, overseeing financial and operational performance for a community college with 39,000 students. Previously, Mike held the position of Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services at Bakersfield College until July 2023, where responsibilities included supervising maintenance, operations, budget, food services, construction, and college safety. With extensive leadership experience, Mike has also served as President at both Platt College and Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, managing large teams and ensuring compliance across various operational areas. Additional roles include Controller at Trident Water Works and Audit Manager at PACCAR Financial, among others. Mike holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Option from California State University, Chico, an MBA from Colorado Technical University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
