Our team is growing and we’re on the hunt for a Bookkeeper to join our internal finance team.   You will enjoy work flexibility across the 20 hours of work per week.  This role could suit someone looking for school hours.

Responsibilities.

Clients

  • Internal client - Kearney Group

  • Responsible for the transactional processing, reconciliations, timely reporting and information to the Group Finance Partner

People

  • Contribute to an enjoyable working environment

  • Actively participate as a team member to contribute to the success of the team

  • Demonstrate our values and behaviors

Technical Excellence

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Credit card reconciliations

  • Accounts Payable processing including bill entry, review of GL coding

  • Payment preparation/processing

  • Accounts Receivable processing including creation of invoices, debtor management

  • Management of internal accounting softwares & their connections to our client management system

Financial

  • Adhere to KPIs around task efficiency & execution

Practice Development

  • Provide ongoing support to the Group Finance Partner

Innovation

  • Make continuous improvements to accounting systems and processes
  • Look for new software/tech to assist with providing Kearney Group with great outcomes

Core Capabilities and Core Traits & Behaviours

  • Experience using accounting systems (e.g. Xero) & Microsoft (e.g. Excel) is preferred

  • Ability to problem solve issues relating to accounting systems and software

  • Ability to work without some supervision once up to speed

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to own personal development

  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, and looking for a challenge

  • Passion for the role, team, and general bookkeeping/accounting
