Ciaran Starrs has worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Kadence since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at HighWire Press, Inc. from April 2016 to August 2020 as a QA Analyst. In this role, they ran testing for publisher specific projects, customizations, and software upgrades. Ciaran then became the lead QA for eCommerce and JCore, Highwire's main multi-journal hosting solution. Ciaran regularly reviewed project requirements, identified gaps, and mitigated areas of risk. Ciaran also defined testing objectives, determined coverage and types of testing, created procedures and schedules, and provided resource estimations.

Ciaran Starrs completed their Master of Science degree in Professional Software Development from Ulster University between the years 2014 and 2015. Ciaran also obtained a certification in Agile Software Development from LinkedIn in June 2019.
