Shobana Subbu has a diverse professional background. Shobana currently holds a managerial role at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy as the Manager - Municipal Finance since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Associate Manager - Municipal Finance at the same company from June 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining Janaagraha Centre, Shobana took a break from their career to focus on their family responsibilities. From May 2014 to May 2021, they worked as a Stay-at-Home Mom.

Shobana also has experience working in the field of data analysis. Shobana served as a Data Analyst at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy from January 2016 to March 2017.

In addition, Shobana worked as a Senior Advocacy Associate at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy from March 2013 to April 2014.

Before joining Janaagraha Centre, Shobana gained industry experience as a Financial Analyst at Aquatech International Corporation from October 2011 to September 2012 and as an A/P Analyst at Republic Services Inc from April 2010 to September 2011. Shobana also worked as an Internal Audit Intern at Republic Services Inc from May 2009 to August 2009.

Shobana began their career as an Operations Management Intern at Emerson Network Power in May 2008 and later worked as an Information Technology Consultant at Capgemini India from July 2004 to July 2007.

Shobana Subbu completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in the years 2000 to 2004. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued their Masters and MBA degrees in Accounting from the Eller College of Management at both the University of Arizona and The University of Arizona.
