Hugues Maillot is an experienced marine engineer, currently serving as a 1st Engineer Officer on the offshore wind turbine installation vessel JUV Vole-au-vent at Jan De Nul Group since May 2018, after progressing from a 2nd Engineer Officer role on the same vessel. Prior to this, Hugues worked as an Engineer Officer on the offshore cable laying vessel MPV Willem de Vlamingh and held positions as an App Engineer and 3rd Engineer during dredging operations on TDSH Filippo Brunelleschi and cable laying on MPV Issac Newton. Hugues's early career included a position as an App Engineer on the private yacht M/Y Ilona and as a Cadet polyvalent officer on the container vessel Aristote. Hugues obtained a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Antwerp Maritime Academy, completing the program between 2010 and 2014.
