Won Yang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They began their career as an Automotive Designer at Mazda North American Operations in 2000. They then transitioned to a role as an Automotive Designer at ADD STAFF, Inc. from 2000 to 2002. In 2006, they worked as an Art and Media Director at Soho Fashion Inc. From 2007 to 2016, they held various roles at Funrise, including Sr. Product Designer & Brand Manager, Manager Global Design & Development, and Sr. Manager Global Design & Development. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Lead Developer at Lakeshore Learning Materials, where they focused on early childhood research, development, and vendor selection. In 2022, they joined Mattel, Inc. as a Sr. Product Designer. Currently, Won Yang is the Director of Girls Design at Jakks Pacific, managing both own and licensed brands, such as Warner Brothers DC line and NBC Universal account.

Won Yang has a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation Design from ArtCenter College of Design, which they obtained from 1995 to 2000. Won also has an A.A. degree in Fine Arts from College of the Canyons, which they earned from 1994 to 1996. In addition, they have completed a course in Textile Design and Manufacturing from Introtex, Guilford Mills Inc in 2002.
