Tess Ferguson's work experience includes roles at The Ithacan, FLG Lacrosse, Ithaca College, and WomenX. Tess started working at Ithaca College in 2021 as an Athletic Communications Assistant. In 2022, they joined The Ithacan as a Staff Writer and later became an Assistant Sports Editor. Tess is currently the Head Sports Editor at The Ithacan. In 2021, they also worked as an Assistant Coach and Event Staff at FLG Lacrosse. In 2023, Tess served as a DemandIX Fellow at WomenX.

Tess Ferguson began their education in 2017 at Baldwin Senior High School, where they attended until 2021. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. In 2021, Tess enrolled at Ithaca College, where they are currently studying Journalism. Tess is expected to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 2025. Additionally, Tess obtained a certification in "Publishing on LinkedIn for College Students and Young Professionals" from LinkedIn in October 2021.
