Ralph Schünemann has over three decades of work experience in various roles and industries. Ralph began their career as a Mechanic for agriculture machines at KfL Blankenburg from 1987 to 1990. Ralph then moved on to SEAT,SA, where they served as an International Management Trainee from 1998 to 1999 and later as a Pre-Development and Technical Project Leader from 1999 to 2001. In 2003, Schünemann joined AUDI AG as an Engineer for Cost Optimization in Whole Vehicle Development until 2006. Ralph then became an Engineer for Lightweight Design in Whole Vehicle Development from 2006 to 2010 and subsequently a Project Leader for Lightweight Strategy in Whole Vehicle Development from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they held the role of Head of Competitor Analysis in Whole Vehicle Development at AUDI AG. Currently, Schünemann is serving as the Head of Electric & Electronic in Research and Development at Italdesign from 2016 onwards.
Ralph Schünemann obtained their Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. In 1996, they also completed an academic year near Sydney, Australia, focusing on Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wollongong. Later, in 2001 and 2002, Ralph pursued their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at the Purdue University Daniels School of Business, with a specialization in GISMA.
