Stefano Persano is currently an Assistant Professor at Università degli Studi di Milano and a Researcher at IEO Istituto Europeo di Oncologia, both positions focused on mRNA-based therapeutics since March 2023. Previous roles include Scientist at CureVac from January to December 2022 and Researcher 6 at the University of Minnesota from April 2021 to March 2022. Stefano served as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Fellow at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia from October 2019 to September 2021 and as a Scientist at BioNTech AG from November 2018 to September 2019, specializing in the development of lipid nanoparticles for mRNA vaccines. Education credentials include a PhD in Nano-immunotherapy and a Master's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Università del Salento, backed by a Bachelor's degree in Biology.
