Maricel Aguilar has a strong background in quality assurance and research and development in the food industry. Maricel began their career as a Corporate QA/R&D Manager at Fortune Food Service in 2003 and held this role until 2014. Following this, they joined Bumble Bee Foods as a QA Manager from 2014 to 2016. Most recently, Aguilar has been working as the R&D Director for Prepared Foods at Island Pacific Supermarket since 2016.

Maricel Aguilar completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Microbiology at the University of the Philippines from 1986 to 1990.
