Muhammad Yasir Tariq is an experienced professional in microfinance and business development. Currently serving as the Global I-Microfinance Operations Manager at Islamic Relief Worldwide since May 2016, Muhammad also holds the position of Director at Wasil Trust, which manages 15 government-owned schools in Bahawalnagar, focusing on renovating facilities and enhancing educational methodologies. Previously, Muhammad worked as Manager of Business Development & IT at the Centre for Women Co-operative Development, where responsibilities included facilitating product marketing and client training. Earlier experience includes an internship at Warid Telecom as an Application Developer and a tenure as Chief Operating Officer at Wasil Foundation, where Muhammad championed the Master Salam Product, earning recognition in the CGAP Islamic Microfinance Challenge 2013. Additionally, Muhammad contributed to national policy formulation for the Prime Minister of Pakistan's Qard e Husna program and actively trains staff and microfinance institutions on Islamic finance principles.
