John Zed, P. Eng, has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as Area Technical Manager for Central Process at Irving Oil since April 2014. Key accomplishments include overseeing a major turnaround of the #3 Crude and NHT units in 2023 and leading various process safety initiatives across multiple refinery plants. John has a solid history of providing technical support, troubleshooting systems, and improving processes in both Central Process and Oil Movements areas. Prior to the current role, John worked as a Chemical Engineering Co-op Student with Fluor Projects Team. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and a Master's in Engineering (MEng) in Petroleum Engineering from Dalhousie University.
