Amin Zarandi

Senior Engineer at IonQ

Amin Zarandi, PhD has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Amin is currently a Senior Engineer at IonQ, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, from July 2021 to November 2022, they worked as a Senior Packaging/Thermal Engineer at Analog Power Conversion. From August 2019 to July 2021, they held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Before that, Amin worked as a Non-destructive Test Engineer at Vibtech Consultant from September 2017 to December 2020. Amin also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from January 2014 to November 2019. Amin Zarandi also worked as a Water and Waste water Expert at Jooyab Nou Comsulting Engineers from May 2011 to January 2014. Additionally, they held intern positions at IPCO, Irankhodro Powertrain Co from June 2012 to July 2013 and at KARACO from June 2008 to May 2010.

Amin Zarandi, PhD, has an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Amin started their academic journey at the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) from 2000 to 2004. Amin then pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman from 2005 to 2009.

To further enhance their knowledge and expertise, Amin went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, studying from 2010 to 2013. Finally, they continued their academic pursuits at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2013 to 2019.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Amin Zarandi has also attained several certifications to complement their educational background. Amin completed the "SOLIDWORKS 2020 Essential Training" and "Learning SOLIDWORKS" courses through LinkedIn in September 2021 and August 2021, respectively. In August 2020, they completed the "PCB/Electronics: Thermal Management, Cooling and Derating" course on Udemy, followed by the "A Guide to Electronics Cooling" course in July 2020. Lastly, Amin obtained certification in "Biomedical Research" from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in September 2019.
