Tom Besser has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering and IT fields. Tom began their career in 2000 as Lead Web Designer for Teen Mania Ministries. In 2003, they worked as a Consultant for Technisource. From 2004 to 2011, they were an IT Professional IV and Web Developer/Information Technologist III for SAIC, where they designed, implemented, and supported a center-wide budgeting and variance analysis system. From 2011 to 2016, they were a Systems Engineer IV for MORI Associates, where they empowered teams and increased organizational efficiency by implementing Azure DevOps Server to support over 200 Git repositories and 45 engineers. In 2021, they were a Senior Software Engineer for ettain group before transitioning to their current role as Senior Software Engineer for Kingsmen Software in 2022.

Tom Besser obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Oral Roberts University between 1996 and 2000. In 2009, they received Legacy Microsoft Certifications (MCSD, MCAD, MCDBA, MCP) from Microsoft. In 2017, they became a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute. Finally, in May 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
