John Johnson has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering.

John started their career in 2004 at Aigis Mechtronics, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer and worked there until 2010.

In 2010, John joined Nortek Security & Control where they held multiple roles. John first worked as a Project Engineer, responsible for updating the Access Control panel design and setting up a video test lab for IP Cameras. John then became an Engineering Program Manager, where they developed and executed project plans for various engineering programs, including access control products and security sensors. Finally, they served as a Senior Electrical Engineer, leading the development of a $1.4M Telephone Entry hardware addition.

In 2019, John joined InVue as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where they are currently employed.

John Johnson attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2003 to 2005, they attended Forsyth Technical Community College, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians. Additionally, in 2018, John Johnson studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, obtaining a Professional Certificate in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
