Derrick Leong has worked in the legal industry since 2016. Derrick began their career at Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International, as an Associate (Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property) and Chambering Pupil. In 2018, they moved to Christopher & Lee Ong as a Senior Associate. In 2022, they joined InvestaX as a Senior Legal Counsel, providing end-to-end digital advisory, token issuance, investment, trading and custody services. Derrick also works as a Senior Legal Counsel at IX Swap.

Derrick Leong's education history includes a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from UCL from 2012 to 2015, a Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) from City, University of London from 2015 to 2016, Cambridge A-Levels from Taylor's College from 2011 to 2012, and primary and secondary education from SK Damansara Utama from 2000 to 2005 and SMK Damansara Jaya from 2006 to 2010, respectively. Derrick also holds certifications as an Advocate & Solicitor from the High Court of Malaya and a Barrister-at-Law of England and Wales from The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
