Paul Guyett

Group Lead at Invenra

Paul Guyett has held a variety of roles in research and science since 2004. In 2004, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Georgia, where they used real-time NMR spectroscopy to characterize an enzyme. From 2006 to 2011, they were a Research Associate at Washington State University, where they used site-directed mutagenesis to understand how specific amino acid side-chains contribute to the complex folding landscape. From 2011 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist, Senior Research Associate, and Instructor (part-time) at the University of Georgia. During this time, they spearheaded a project discovering protein/DNA targets of a new lead drug, designed and executed new affinity chromatography-based protocols to identify putative targets, and developed two new bioassays to identify how compounds affect cellular processes. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Senior Scientist and Group Lead at BrainXell, Inc. Currently, they are a Group Lead and Senior Scientist at Invenra.

Paul Guyett received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from The University of Georgia in 2006. Paul then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biosciences from Washington State University in 2011.
