Mr. Morrison is an entrepreneur with a background in finance and engineering and is the Founder & Managing Partner of Optio Ventures, a boutique advisory and venture firm that helps launch and raise capital for early-stage startups across various industries. With deal volume experience spanning more than $10 billion across a set of diverse transaction types, Mr. Morrison has a decade of experience working with startups and in finance as both an entrepreneur and an investor.

He was the Director of the Board and fractional CFO/COO of DocVocate, Inc., an AI/ML-driven healthcare SaaS startup improving U.S. healthcare for providers and patients, and Co-Founder of Fuzionaire Diagnostics, Inc., a startup developing radiopharmaceuticals based on a chemistry breakthrough from a Nobel prize-winning laboratory. He was also the Co-Founder of OwlSpark, Rice University's startup accelerator.
