Matthew Ng has been working in the engineering field since 2020, when they began their current role as an Engineer at IntraVu, Inc. Prior to this, they were a Lab Technician at Central Contra Costa Sanitary District from 2017-2020, and before that they were an Office Assistant at All Homes Financial from 2011-2017.

Matthew Ng attended University of the Pacific from 2014 to 2018, where they studied Bioengineering. Matthew then pursued a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at UC San Diego, which they completed in 2020.
