Nnenna Ajanwachuku has extensive work experience in various roles within the financial industry. Nnenna began their career in 2004 as a Market Analyst at Nex-Rubica Risk Analytics, where they worked until 2006. Nnenna then joined FINBANK PLC in 2008, working in the Strategic Planning Unit until 2009. Following this, they joined Access Bank Plc in 2009 and worked in the Economic Intelligence Group until 2011. In 2014, Nnenna joined Keystone Bank Limited, where they held the position of Assets and Liability Management, Treasury until 2018. Currently, they are working at Interswitch Group as a Business Development Manager, Industry Ecosystems.

Nnenna Ajanwachuku completed their BCom (Hons) degree in Economics/Econometrics at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 2000 to 2005. Nnenna then pursued a Masters degree in Economics at the University of Venda for Science and Technology, completing it from 2005 to 2007. In 2023, Nnenna is expected to undertake their Doctor of Philosophy in Economics at the University of Johannesburg, which will be completed by 2025. Additionally, they obtained a certification in the Oxford Fintech Programme from the University of Oxford in January 2021.
