Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently working at SMART Technologies since July 2010, focusing on the development of hardware for innovative DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Previously, Chris served as a Firmware Engineer, also at SMART Technologies, developing firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Relevant experience includes working as an Electronics Contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities involved the design and repair of educational devices, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, assisting with laboratory sessions and academic evaluations. Additionally, Chris was an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, contributing to the development of control systems for forestry equipment. Academically, Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
