Douglas Forrest

Senior Vice President - Ediscovery Analytics & Strategy at International Litigation Services

Douglas Forrest has a long and varied work experience beginning in 1976 when they were an Associate at Breed, Abbott & Morgan. Here, they worked on litigation and antitrust cases for clients such as Honeywell, National Distillers, and Armco Steel. In 1979, they moved to Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP as a Senior Litigation Associate, where they were involved in complex litigation, including antitrust analysis for HBO and Time, Inc., IBM antitrust litigation, Iranian hostage defense preparation, international arbitration proceedings and pro bono representation of Phoenix House. In 1989, they became Vice President of Professional Services at MicroEdge, Inc., where they built the consulting and training divisions and led the development of an award-winning system to handle a $34 billion Mexican debt refinancing for Citibank. In 1993, they joined LIT, Inc/Special Counsel as Vice President of Research & Development and Executive Director of the Technical Services Division. Here, they acted as the primary technological strategist in the Xerox/Special Counsel Alliance initiative to the legal community and created WIDE (Workflow Document Imaging Environment) for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Douglas also conceived, designed and oversaw the development of LIT CaseWorks, a Lotus Notes-based enterprise-class integrated case management and litigation support system. In 2000, they returned to Ozmosys, Inc. as Chief Technology Officer, designing, developing, and supporting major knowledge management applications. In 2006, they moved to Guidance Software, Inc. as eDiscovery Services Manager. In 2009, they joined Encore Discovery Solutions as Director of the Northeast Region, providing non-proprietary and proprietary services. Finally, in 2010, they joined International Litigation Services as Vice President of eDiscovery Analytics & Strategy. Here, they supplied strategic technical expertise to restore parity to ESI protocol negotiations and brought the full power of advanced analytics to find the hidden truth in massive document productions.

Douglas Forrest attended Horace Mann from 1963 to 1969, earning a HS degree. Douglas then attended Antioch College from 1970 to 1973, earning a BA in Psychology. Lastly, they attended Stanford Law School from 1973 to 1976.
