May Schlotzhauer serves as the Education Trust Director at the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) since January 2015, previously holding the role of Component Relations Coordinator. Prior experience includes working as a Recruiting Coordinator at Smart Resources, Inc. and as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at The University of Oregon. May's international experience includes participation in the Japan Exchange Teaching Program (JET) at Beppu City City Hall from July 2009 to July 2011. May holds a Master's degree in Art History from The University of Oregon (2011-2013) and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Japanese from The University of Montana (2002-2007).
