Ruan Oliveira, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in the field of genomics and gene editing. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at Universidade Federal de Pelotas, where they contributed to various projects in equine reproduction. During this time, they also collaborated with Dr. Tiago Collares on a project that resulted in a patent. From 2011 to 2012, Ruan served as a Research Assistant at ULBRA. In 2013, they joined the University of Florida as a Research Assistant and continued their work until 2018. In 2018, Ruan joined Expansion Therapeutics as a Scientist, before moving on to Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. in 2019. At Intellia Therapeutics, they held roles ranging from Scientist to Associate Director, focusing on gene editing platform, genomics innovation, and off-target research.

Ruan Oliveira, Ph.D. holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Ruan later pursued their education at the University of Florida, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genetics in 2013.
