Lorena Barra Bucarei is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agricultural research and project management. Since April 2010, Lorena has held key roles at the Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIA) including Encargada Centro Nacional de Bioinsumos and Investigador-Gestor tecnológico, focusing on bioprocesses and beneficial microorganisms. Prior roles include managing rural infrastructure development for the Gobierno Regional de La Araucanía and leading projects at TIMBERLINE in Canada and Chile. Lorena holds a Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences with a specialization in bio-stimulants from Universidad de Concepción and has pursued advanced studies in intellectual property, innovation, quality management, and industrial engineering across multiple institutions, showcasing a strong foundation in both technical and managerial aspects of agronomy and technology commercialization.
